The rubber backing creates a non-skid, anti-slip surface with the floor. This limits movement while dogs or cats are feeding to help reduces messes. This rubber backing also creates a barrier that prevents liquid spills from reaching the floor. Additionally, the woven topside of the pet feeding mat helps block and contain spills.
